The Georgia Archives has several YouTube videos on African American historical
records
. It would probably be worth your while to view these, especially if you are new
to researching your African American heritage.

Bibb County, Georgia, was a significant center for slave transactions in the Southeast,
particularly in the city of Macon. Researchers have identified nearly 1,000 slave
transactions within deed books spanning from 1823 to 1865, highlighting the area's role
in the domestic slave trade. These records, now digitized and available online, offer a
glimpse into the lives of enslaved people and the impact of slavery on Macon and Bibb
County.  I have been unable to locate the ability to search document by document, but
have sent an email to the Superior Court Clerk who was instrumental in getting this
digitized and indexing along with Mercer University.

Family Search has records from the Freedmans Bank and their marriages.  This may be a helpful resource. 

You will need to search from the familysearch.org page which is a free site.
