FOUND DEAD IN A WELL.
Corpse of Frederick Barlow Discovered In a Well Near Wheaton.
Baxley, Jan. 13.—It in reported here that, on last Friday as some gentlemen were hunting near Wheaton, they discovered a dead man in an Opel well of the East Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia railroad, which had been dug to supply their engines with water and then abandoned. When the corpse was pulled out it was found to be that of Frederick Barlow who had been missing for several days.
Several parties state that Barlow was last seen on Monday night near the well. The road runs very close to the well, and it is supposed that in the darkness the unfortunate man strayed from the path and fell in.
