Baxley, June 12.— Miss Nancy Wilson died of cancer on Wednesday morning at the home of her brother-in- law, John Comas. She was 68 years of age. Miss Wilson's father, Joseph Wilson, was one of the pioneers, having moved to this county from South Carolina just after the Indians had taken refuge in the Okefenokee swamp. During the many years that have intervened since the death of her parents, she and a maiden sister have lived on the old homestead and, by industry and economy have not only made a support but accumulated some property. Two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Wilson, of Wayne County, and Mrs. Mary Comas, wife of John Comas, one of Appling's most honorable and highly respected citizens, and one brother, George Wilson, of Wayne County, survive her, she having been the youngest member of the family. The deceased, since her girlhood, been a consistent member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and bore her affliction with Christian fortitude and died fully trusting in the merits of Jesus. Her remains were interred at Pine Grove church, Wayne county.
