Ulice Clifton Boatright

Ulice Clifton Boatright, age 75, of Alma passed at the Bacon County Hospital Thursday, May 17, 2007 after an extended illness.

He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Cash Boatright and Mattie Hughes Boatright. Clifton was also preceded in death by his wife, Odell Carter Boatright; a son James Boatright; two brothers, Grady and Norman Boatright; a sister, Hester Lightsey. He attended The Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include a son, Donnie Boatright and wife Alicia of Alma; four daughters, Judy Hall and husband Cecil of Alma, Brenda Palmer and Husband Danny of Blackshear, Linda Sue Gordon and husband Dudley of Brunswick and Debbie Marsh and husband George of Patterson; two sisters, Ruth Purcell of Waycross and Norene Loper of Bristol. Also twelve grandchildren and four-teen great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 20, from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Brother Dean Kapp and James Lightsey officiating. Interment followed in Carters Chapel Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were: Derick Palmer, Stump Palmer, Stevie Marsh, Lance Gordon, Brad Boatright and Frog Boatright. Honorary escort were Dr. Carter, Twin Oaks Nursing Home, B. C. Hospital and Christa Kapp Williams.

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
