BROWN'S SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the line between Jones
and Baldwin Counties, where the 322nd and the 319th Militia Districts corner,
and running north along said county line to the point where the Milledgeville
and Monticello road crosses the same; thence along said Monticello road toward
Milledgeville to the point where the said road intersects the road leading from
Milledgeville to Jordan's Crossing; thence along said Jordans Crossing road
toward Milledgeville to the point where the said road intersects the Clinton
road toward Milledgeville to the point where said road intersects the Clinton
road; thence west along the Clinton road to the road leading from the Clinton
road to Hopewell; thence along said road to the boundary line between the 319th
and the 321st Militia Districts; thence along the boundary line between the
319th and the 321st Militia Districts; to the point where the said road crosses
the road leading from the Milledgeville and Macon public road to Browns
Crossing; thence to the point of beginning.
HOPEWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on Camp Creek where the
road from Milledgeville to Scottsboro crosses the same; running thence in a
straight line to a point on the Milledgeville and Macon road near Hopewell
Church where the road leading from Hopewell to the Clinton road intersects the
same; thence along said last named road to the boundary line between the 321st
and the 319th Militia Districts; thence in a south westerly direction along the
boundary line between the said districts to a point where said boundary line
crosses the road leading from the Milledgeville and Macon road to Brown's
Crossing, near the O. L Brown place; thence in a south easterly direction down
the said road to the Milledgeville and Macon road near the old Snipes Residence;
thence in a south-westerly direction along the Milledgeville and Macon road to a
point about midway between the 7th and 8th mile posts on said road where the
road from Camp Creek Church intersects the said road; thence along said road
toward Camp Creek Church to where said road intersects the said road; thence
along said road toward Camp Creek Church to where the said road intersects the
road leading from Salem Church to Camp Creek Church; thence easterly along said
last named road to where the said road crosses Camp Creek, east of the
right-of-way of the Central of Georgia Railroad; thence down Camp Creek to the
point of beginning.
MIDWAY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the Oconee River about
a mile east of Moseleyville where the boundary line between Milledgeville and
the 321st District touches the river and running thence about the line between
the 321st Militia District and the city of Milledgeville, where said line
touches Fishing Creek; thence up Fishing Creek to the point where the line
between the city of Milledgeville and the 319th Militia District leaves said
creek; thence in a north easterly direction along said line to the road leading
from Milledgeville to Clinton; thence along said road toward Clinton to the
point where the road leading from Hopewell Church intersects the Clinton road;
thence along said named road to where the same intersects with the public road
leading from Milledgeville to Macon, near Hopewell Church; thence in a straight
line to the bridge which spans Camp Creek on the road leading from Milledgeville
to Scottsboro; thence down Camp Creek to the Oconee River to the point of
beginning.
MERRIWETHER SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the Oconee River above
the mouth of Tobler's Creek, where the line dividing the city of Milledgeville,
and the 318t Militia District touches the Oconee River, and running thence up
said river to the mouth of Little River; thence up Little River to the mouth of
Cedar Creek thence up Cedar Creek to the line between Jones and Baldwin
counties; thence down said line to the point where the Monticello road crosses
the same; thence along the Monticello road toward Milledgeville, to the point
where the said road intersects with the public road leading from Milledgeville
to Jordans Crossing thence along said road to the line dividing Milledgeville
from the 318th Militia District; thence along said line to the point of
beginning.
BLACK SPRING DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the Oconee River at the east
end of the iron bridge on the road leading from Milledgeville to McCombs Mount,
and running thence up said road to the road which intersects the same at the
Beula Place; running thence along said las named road to Black Springs, and
running thence along the Linton Road to Town Creek; running thence up Town Creek
to a point about a fourth of a mile beyond the residence of Jeptha Roberson,
where the Baldwin county line leaves Town Creek and running thence along the
line between Baldwin and Hancock counties to Oconee River, near the mouth of
Little River; thence down the Oconee River to the point of beginning.
SALEM SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the line between
Wilkinson and Baldwin counties, about half mile south of the residence of L. M.
Hall, where the public road that passes near Hall's residence, crosses the said
boundary line and running thence up said road to where it intercepts with the
road leading from Union Hill church to Stevens Pottery; thence along said last
named road to where it intersects with the Cobbs Bridge Road at Union Hill
church; thence along Cobb's Bridge road to the road leading from the Bob Weaver
place to the Tom Finney place; thence along said last named road to the Tom
Finney place; thence along the road leading from the Tom Finney place to the
Macon road at the R. R. Brown place between the 7 and 8 mile post on the Macon
road; thence along the Macon road towards Milledgeville, to the point where the
road leading from Browns Crossing to the Milledgeville and Macon road intersects
the same, near the old Snipe's place; thence along said last named road in
a north-west direction towards Brown's Crossing to the point where the boundary
line between 322 Militia District and the 319th Militia District intersects the
same; and thence along the said bound line to the line between Jones and Baldwin
counties; thence in a southerly direction along said line to the line between
Baldwin and Wilkinson counties; thence along said last named line in an easterly
direction, to the point of beginning.
COOPERVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the line between
Baldwin and Wilkinson counties, about half mile south of the residence of L. M.
Hall where the public road that passes near Hall's residence, crosses the said
boundary line, and running thence up said road to where it intersects with the
road leading from Union Hill church to Stevens Pottery; thence along said last
named road to where the same intersects with the Cobb's bridge road at Union
Hill church thence along the Cobb bridge road to the road that leads from
the Bob Weaver place to the Tom Finney place; thence along said last named road
to the point where the same intersects with the road leading from Salem church
to the Cobb's bridge road thence along said last named road and the Cobb Bridge
Road to where the same intersect with the road leading from Milledgeville to
Gordon; and thence along said Gordon roads towards Milledgeville to a point near
the 6th mile post on said road, where the Byington Mill road intersects the
same; thence down the Byington Mill road to the line between Baldwin and
Wilkinson counties; thence along said line between Baldwin and Wilkinson
counties to the point of beginning.
SCOTTSBORO SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the Oconee River at
the mouth of Camp Creek, and running up Camp Creek to a point near the residents
formerly occupied by R. L. Wood, where Cobb's Bridge road crosses said creek,
and running easterly along said road to where it interesects with the road
leading from Scottsboro to Gordon, and thence along said Gordon road towards
Scottsboro to where the Byington Mill road intersects the same; thence in a
southerly direction along the Byington Mill road to the Wilkinson county line
near the old Poor Huse; thence along the Wilkinson and Baldwin county line to
the Oconee River; thence up the Oconee River to the point of beginning.
UNION POINT SCHOOL DISTRICT
Beginning at a point on the Oconee River at
the east end of the iron bridge on the road leading from Milledgeville to
McCombs Mount, and running thence up said road to where the same is intersected
by the Linton road at the Beulah Place; thence along said last named road to
Black Springs; thence along the Linton Road to Town Creek; thence down Town
Creek to whre the road crosses the same at O'Quinn's mill; thence along the
County-line road to a point about a half miles beyound the residence of Charles
Prosser, where the Baldwin county line corders; and running thence along the
boundary line between Baldwin and Washington counties down Gum Creek to where
the said creek empties into the Oconee River; thence up the Oconee River to the
point of beginning.
