Augusta Presbytery, Gainesville, Georgia Sept. 12, 1872 Editors Const: The body met in the Presbyterian Church, in Gainesville, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., and after a sermon by Rev. G.H. Cartledge, from 2nd Chap. Ephesians, 22nd Verse, Rev. P.C. Morton, last moderator present called the Presbytery to order. Rev. T.P Cleveland, stated clerk, called the roll. The following preachers answered to their name: G.H. Cartledge, J.D. Burkhead, F.T. Simpson, P.C. Morton, T.P. Cleaveland. Elders present from Athens-W.H. Waddell Gainesville-R.E. Green Hebron, Homer, Thiatira-W.B. Johnson Concord-D.K. King New Hope-T.W. Long Bethany-H.D. Smith Pleasant Hill-D.G. Johnson Sandy Creek-A. Smith Clarksville-A. Erwin Washington-S.C.
