34th GA Infantry Surrender

34th Georgia Voluntary Infantry-Army of Tennessee
Surrender at Greensboro, North Carolina, April 26, 1865


General Joseph E. Johnston surrendered over 29,000 men to General William Tecumseh Sherman. General Sherman agreed to provide transportation to those men needing it.

The following men from Company H were present at the surrender;

Richard V. Morris, David A. Bray,James L. Carson, Joseph W. Cartledge, John W. Chastain, James H. Glasure, James C. Goode, David Greenway, William Greenway, Isaac Hall, William McDonald, William T. Nunn, Fletcher A. Prickett, and Madison Warren Threlkeld.

No men from Company D were present.
