Note- Reference “Cemeteries and Deaths in Banks County Georgia” by Richard J. Chambers records Laura A. Ayers’ burial at Nails Creek Baptist Church cemetery in Banks County.  According to the book the dates on her stone read 1856-1931.  Either that is just an error in the compilation of the book or her stone may have been placed later when it was unclear when she died.  The report of her death to the Pension Office above makes it clear she did not die in 1931.  The birth year of 1856 may not be accurate either as early census records place her birth year about 1853-1854.
