Cantrell was a member of Co. C 52nd Georgia Infantry Regiment
(Stovall’s Brigade) from Lumpkin County, Georgia. Census records show that he is also know as Kinch Cantrell
and Kinchen Cantrell. K. C. Cantrell enlisted as a private in Co.
C 52nd Georgia Infantry Regiment on March 25, 1862. He transferred to Co. B 52nd
Georgia Infantry Regiment on May 25, 1861.
Roll dated 31 December 1863, he last appears on file as present. He died in 1880 of a lung ailment contracted
while in Confederate Service. I believe
Mrs. Nancy Cantrell was formerly Nancy Etris of Lumpkin County, Georgia. Nancy Cantrell, born 07 May1831 and died 04
April 1907, according to her tombstone, is buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery off
Pea Ridge Road on the Habersham County line with Hall County, Georgia.
