 Joseph Banks Ausburn was born December 10, 1858 in Banks County, Georgia, and died October 21, 1930 in Banks County, Georgia. He married Nancy Ann Vaughn on December 25, 1878 in Banks County, Georgia. She was the daughter of William Vaughn and Barbara "Barbary" Casey Vaughn. She was born April 20, 1857, in Habersham County, Georgia, and died March 10, 1926 in Banks County, Georgia.  Mary Ann "Polly" Murray Ausburn, was born January 6, 1832 in Franklin County, Georgia. She died June 26, 1899 in Banks County, Georgia. She was the daughter of John B. Murray and Sarah Caudell Murray. She married Hugh B. Ausburn on December 28, 1850 in Franklin County, Georgia. She is buried in the grave plot of her son, Joseph Banks Ausburn, at Damascus Baptist Church cemetery, Banks County, Georgia.  John Thomas Ausburn, born 1854, Banks County, Georgia, to Hugh B. and Mary Ann "Polly" Murray Ausburn. John Thomas Ausburn was married to Georgia Ann Vaughn, daughter of William Vaughn and Elizabeth Slayton. They had four children; Amanda "Mandy" Ausburn, b. 1878 (She married John Blackburn); Joe Ausburn b. 1879; Lula Alice Ausburn, b. July 5, 1887 (She married William Andrew Segars on March 21, 1906); and William Terrell "Bill" Ausburn, b. Oct. 16, 1890. (He married Anna Farmer on August 16, 1917 in Banks County, Georgia.
