The Daily Dispatch, Richmond, Va., 13 May 1861. Good shots- Monday last the Captain of the Banks County Guards ordered a trial of skill in shooting by his corps. The plan adopted was putting up a hat as a mark and ordering his men to march from it one hundred yards, when they were to turn and fire without hesitation. After the trial had been completed, 74 men having fired, the hat was brought to the Captain, and 60 bullet holes were found to have been made. -Savannah Republican
