Autumn Grace Ferguson, infant, of Gillsville died Thursday.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Danny Ferguson.

Survivors include her parents, Christy Michelle Ferguson and Joe Lane Allen, Gillsville; sister, Kayla Nicole Ferguson; brother, Joseph Nathaniel Ferguson; and grandparents, Cathy Ferguson, Gainesville, Julie Anne Taylor, Nashville, Tenn., and Charles A. Allen, Hayesville, N.C.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at Midway Cemetery, Gillsville.

FERGUSON, Lila Crenshaw

Nov. 6, 1913-Dec. 2, 2006

Lila Crenshaw Ferguson, 93, of Baldwin died Saturday at Habersham County Medical Center.

Born in Banks County to the late Jesse and Chalcie Parson Crenshaw, she was a homemaker and member of Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Fay Ferguson; sisters, Margie Wade, Sallie Thompson, Mae Morris, Dessie Potts and Laura Echols; and brothers, Felton Crenshaw, Pierce Crenshaw and Curt Crenshaw.

Survivors include her sister, Minnie Turner, Alto.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Aubrey McEntire and the Rev. Scott Ledbetter will officiate. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Tony Royston will officiate.

FLEMING, George Clinton

May 27, 1914-March 12, 2006

George Clinton Fleming, 91, of Homer died Sunday at a private care facility following an extended illness.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late George and Lucy Ariail Fleming. He was employed with Carwood Manufacturing Co. for many years and was a member of Webb's Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a number of cousins.

The family received friends Monday at the funeral home.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Webb's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Morris will officiate.

FORBES died in Beloit, Kan., June 21, 1889. Although his latter days were spent far from his native state, he loved and cherished the cause for which he fought so long and well, and which he ever defended by voice and action as long as he lived. FORRESTER, Clyde Conrad

Clyde Conrad Forrester, 77, of Doraville, died Saturday, July 15, 2006. A native of Banks County, he was the son of the late William Felton and Cynthia Clifford Brock Forrester. He worked as an underwriter for Commercial Union Insurance Company prior to his military duty, returning to work for them until his retirement in 1983. He then began working for two auto dealerships doing banking, titles, and tags until his health caused him to retire in the early 1990s.

Mr. Forrester was a veteran, having served in the United States Army (Thunderbirds) during the Korean War from 1951-1952.

He was preceded in death by a brother, H.B. Forrester; and brother-in-law, Charles Virgil Langford Jr. Survivors include his wife, Mary Glenda Langford Mitchell Forrester; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Teresa Jeanne Mitchell and Douglas Franklin Burlingame; two grandchildren, Brandon Douglas Burlingame and Cameron Mitchell Burlingame; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Rose Ayers Forrester, Hilda Katherine Streetman Langford, and Rachel Carolyn Langford Bradford and her husband, James Ronald Bradford; four nieces and spouses, Anita Rose Forrester and David L. Bonds Jr., Gina Michelle Langford and Kent Douglas Lang, Amanda Katherine Langford, and Stacey Rachelle Bradford; three nephews, Stacey Lynn Forrester, Jeffery David Langford and Spencer Wade Bradford and wife, Renee Collins Bradford; three great-nephews; and various cousins.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 20, at 11 a.m., at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Bogart with the Rev. Spencer Wade Bradford officiating. The family will gather at the funeral home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, Bogart, is in charge of arrangements.

FUNK, Andrew

Sept. 23, 1988-Aug. 2, 2006

Andrew Funk, 17, of Lula died Wednesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Richmond County to Teresa Funk Sparks of Lula, he was a student at East Hall High School and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother; and two great-grandfathers.

Survivors include his mother; sister, Victoria Pace, Lula; grandparents, James and Donna Funk, Homer; and great-grandmother, Mary Chapman Turner, Homer.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph O. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Banks County Memorial Gardens.

FURR, Isaac

The Atlanta Constitution, 22 May 1891. Isaac FURR Found Hanging By A Plow-Line. Maysville, Ga., May 21- Isaac Furr, a prominent farmer of Banks county, hanged himself in his barn this morning after breakfast. He was found at 11 o'clock suspended by a plow-line which he securely fastened to a rafter and swung himself from the loft. He was well as usual. He had been somewhat despondent, but no cause can be assigned for the rash act. The news of his death was quickly sent to friends in Homer and the coroner is now making presentations for an inquest in the morning. He was about 60 years of age, a good, quiet citizen and successful farmer.

FURR, Stephen G.

Maysville, Ga. August 9 1908-

Stephen G. Furr, of Banks county, died at his home yesterday. He was near 90 years old and widely known. He is survived by one son, Hon. P. F. M. Furr, and two daughters.
