Born in Banks County to the late Ada Ragsdale Miller and William F. Miller, she was a retired elementary school teacher and member of First United Methodist Church of Commerce. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt H. Harbin.
Survivors include her sons, Bryan Harbin, Commerce, and Keith Harbin, Hull; daughter, Nancy Butler, Covington; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ralph E. Harden, 95, of Gainesville died Sunday at Bell Minor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
He was born in Banks County to the late O.N. Harden and Nettie Truitt Harden. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church, serving as a member of the Men's Fellowship class and the Golden Nuggets Sunday school class. He also was preceded in death by his son, William Harden; brother, O.N. Harden; and sisters, Louise Brewer and Gertrude Lowe.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie Boggs Harden; son, Bob Harden; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Little-Ward Funeral Home of Commerce announces the death of Mrs. Mary Edna Morris Hardy, age 99, of Homer who died Thursday, December 07, 2006 at Southern Pines.
Mrs. Hardy was born in Banks County to the late Albert and Linnie Bowden Morris. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and was retired owner/operator of E. F. Hardy Store.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emory F. Hardy and grandson, Ken Payne.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Ferd Martin, Duluth; Brenda and David Sullivan, Homer; daughter, Mildred Minish, Carrollton; son, Bobby Hardy, Athens; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Dillard Harrison, 92, of Douglasville died Tuesday at Wellstar Douglas Hospital.
A native of Banks County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Essie Cotton Harrison and Lon Harrison. He was a retired Greyhound bus driver.
Survivors include his sons, Harold Harrison, Ellenwood, and Cecil Harrison, Meridian, Miss., sister, Dorothy Martin, Commerce; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Flora Harrison, 97, of Maysville died Sunday at her residence.
Born in Jackson County to the late Mattie Hudson Garrison and Fred Garrison, she was a retired deputy sheriff with Banks County. She was the oldest member of Maysville Baptist Church and was a member of the Georgia Peace Officers Association. She also was preceded in death by her husband, M.L. Harrison.
Survivors include her daughters, Rachel Wilson and Lois Harper, both of Maysville; sisters, Jessie Bell Benton, Dry Pond, and Freddie Ruth Merck, Athens; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was one of the most prominent business men of this section, widely known throughout north Georgia. His wife died from a stroke of lightning less than two years ago. KANNAPOLIS - Annie Lee Garrison Hensley, 90, of 906 Country Land Court, Monroe, and formerly of 415 Gay St., Kannapolis, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Union Regional Medical Center in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira R. Hensley, and a daughter, Margaret Hensley Spry Harrington.

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Ayers Hill, 78, of Commerce, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hill was born in Banks County to the late, Marion Judson and Althea Elizabeth Aaron Ayers. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and was retired from Xerox. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Clark Hill and daughter, Gina Hill.
Mrs. Hill is survived by her daughters, Cindy Baird of Jefferson, Pat Clinton of Commerce, Jennifer Wright of Conyers, Marcia Sullivan of Wagram, NC, Christy Phelps of Commerce; sons, Obie Faulkner of Homer, Bill Hill of McDonough; sister, Annette Evans of Fayettville; twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Homer, Ga., June 24- Judge T. F. HILL, one of North Georgia's best citizens, passed away today at 10 o'clock in the morning, at the age of 83 years. Judge Hill formerly represented the 33d district in the state senate, and was ordinary of Banks county. Surviving him are three children, J. N. and W. R. Hill, and Mrs. Laura Shubert. Born in Banks County, he was the son of the late George and Maggie Jones Hope. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the South Pacific with Co. a 596th S.A.W. BN during World War II. He was a parts manager at Haynes & Gailey. He was an active member of Hickory Flat United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Sue Garrison Hope; a brother, Clarence E. Hope; and a sister, Fay Garrison.
Surviving are a sister-in-law; nieces; and nephews.

Maysville, Ga., July 1- Dr. J. F. HOYT, for many years pastor of the Presbyterian church of this place, and widely known throughout Georgia as a minister of unusual character and ability, died at Commerce, and was buried here today. Rev. S. S. Cartledge, of Athens, preached the funeral service, assisted by Rev. Mr. Hill, of the same city. Large crowds of people of all denominations came from Athens, Commerce, Cornelia and other towns to pay their respects to this notable divine, so widely known and of such lovable character. Dr. Hoyt was 79 years of age, and continued actively in the work up to the time of his death, having preached two sermons only days before his end came.

He retired from Prudential Insurance and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Charity Baptist Church. He also was preceded in death by his son, Larrie Hyatt; brothers, Norman Hyatt, Gordon Hyatt and Richard Hyatt; and sister, Gladys Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Moses Hyatt, Homer; son, Timothy Allen Hyatt, Washoe Valley, Nev.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
