Mrs. Ruth Naomi Lewallen Kaiser, 69, of Marietta, passed away Friday,
July 27, 1984.
She was born in Banks County on June 24, 1915, a daughter of the late
Noah Lumpkin and Ruthie Sheridan Lewallen.
In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband
George Emory Newsome; husband Ed Kaiser; sister, Alma Arrowood; brother,
Johnie Tatum Lewallen.
She is survived by daughters, Ruth Virginia Karolyi, Smyrna, Betty Jean
Reynolds, Frances Phillips, Marietta, Eva Brown, Mableton; son, Noah
Eugene Newsome, Doraville; stepmother, Lillie Wood Lewallen, Baldwin;
sister, Mary Etta Norton, Toccoa; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, 1984, at the Concord Church
of God in Smyrna, with Rev. Gross officiating. Music by Steve Darmonady.
Interment was in the Georgia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marietta, GA.
Castellaw Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Charles Cecil Karolyi, 86, of Acworth, GA, passed away Sunday,
February 10, 2008. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
in Cartersville, Ga
He was a son of the late Charles and Annie Cecil Karolyi, of Greenville,
SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister,
Evelyn Thomas; brothers, Caroll and Alva Karolyi.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Virginia Newsome Karolyi; two sons,
David Edward, Acworth, Charles Curtis and daughter in-law Cathy Eilene
Karolyi, Smyrna; sister, Joy Clawson of Greenville, SC, several nieces
and nephew.
Mr. Karolyi attended Spartanburg Junior College and Auburn University
before going to work at Lockheed Martin, where he retired in 1979. He
served as a Aircraft Pilot in World War II. He was a life time member of
the American Legion Post 709 in Smyrna, GA.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at 2pm, in the
Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Stuart and
Elder Ira Pound Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Georgia Memorial
Gardens Cemetery, Marietta, GA. with full military honors. Winkenhofer
Pine Ridge Funeral Home of Kennesaw, GA were in charge of arrangements.
Esta Bell Hobson Keller, 74, of Mount Airy died Sunday at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County to the late Bill and Jewell Caudell Hobson, she was a retired seamstress and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7720, and Mount Airy Baptist Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis C. Keller; brother, Leon Hobson; and sister, Juanita Clouatre.
Survivors include her daughter, Patty Chenault, Saratoga, Calif; son, James Curtis Keller, Mount Airy; brothers, James Monroe Hobson, Homer, and David Hobson, Cornelia; sisters, Daisy Malnadao, Puerto Rico, and Greta Adams, Marietta; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home. Butch Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Park.

Blanton Fordson Kimbrell, 80, of Mount Airy died Wednesday at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Banks County to the late George W. and Martha Ward Kimbrell, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He retired from Milam Concrete and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Kimbrell; and sister, Christine Dill.
Survivors include his brothers, Bradley Kimbrell and James Kimbrell, both of Mount Airy; and sisters, Joyce Kimbrell, Mount Airy, Geraldine Hunt, Toccoa, and Ouida Mae Hardy and Mary Faye Brookshire, both of Demorest.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Welcome Home Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Ryals will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors.

Minnie Eulene Morris King, 84, of Commerce died Wednesday at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
Born in Banks County to the late Lucy Hubbard Morris and John Morris, she was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Willie King.
Survivors include her sons, Charles King, Arcade, and Dennis King, Nicholson; daughters, Elizabeth Veal, and Wanda Baker, both of Maysville, and Diane Freeman, Canon; brother, John Morris Jr., Commerce; sisters, Kitty Roberts, Gainesville, and Ruby Buff, Lincolnton, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at Diamond Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Donald Wilson and the Rev. Charles Elrod will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

KITCHENS, Billy Joe Sr.
Billy Joe Kitchens Sr., age 65, of Cornelia died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Banks County on Dec. 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Fletcher Kitchens. He was a retired machinist with Ten Cate Nicolon. He was employed as a school bus driver with Habersham County Board of Education and was also a Park Host at Moccasin Creek Campgrounds. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette Watkins Kitchens; daughter, Penny Garner; brother, Roger Kitchens; and grandchildren, Kristin Rose Simmons and Lucas Wilburn Pritchett.
Surviving are wife, Mary Webb Kitchens, Cornelia; daughter, Susan Shedd, Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Claude Edmonds, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Billy Joe and Jane Kitchens Jr., Hollingsworth; mother, Winnie Crump Kitchens, Baldwin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Polly and Theron Ayers and Susie and Avery Murray, all of Baldwin; grandchildren, Katie Kitchens, Claire Kitchens, Chelsea Shedd, Taylor Shedd, Miranda Yearwood, Desiree Yearwood, Rhianna Pritchett, Erin Simmons, Branson Simmons and Eli Simmons; and great-grandchildren, Mikya Adams, Jude Ballinger, and Scarlett Ballinger.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006, from B.C. Grant Baptist Church with the Rev. Doyal Conley and the Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Mr. Kitchens will lie in state beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
