Arthur Andrew Umbehant, 84, of Habersham County died Saturday at a private care facility.
He was born in Banks County to the late Larkin and Emma Della Pitts Umbehant. A truck driver and farmer, he was a member of Oak Grove Church of God, Baxley. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Umbehant; and brothers, Otis, Elmo and Everett Umbehant.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Helen York, Eastanollee, Della Florine Schaefer, Duluth, and Juanita Merlene Williams, Baxley; son, Arthur Guy Unbehant, Glenwood; sister, Christine Elrod, Anderson, S.C.; brothers, Glenn Umbehant, Demorest, and Gene Umbehant, Mount Airy; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made.
