Slew His Sister With Empty Gun.

Boy of Twenty Kills Girl of Fourteen.

Commerce, Ga., January 25-

While playing in the yard at his home near Pruitt, in Banks county, John Sorrells, aged 20, accidentally shot and killed his sister, aged 14.

He held in his hand a shotgun that he thought was not loaded. While standing within 8 feet of his sister he playfully remarked:

"I'll shoot you."

Taking aim, he pulled the trigger and the load in the gun was discharged, passing through the joint of the shoulder blade into the body, from which death resulted in forty minutes. It is feared that the young man will become mentally unbalanced.
