Picture and Names Contributed by Charlene Kell (Greg Wainright)

While the Pierce Chapel Elementary School was in existence, three superintendents served the county schools. Mr. Everett Knox, 1921-28; Mr. R.D. Thomas, 1928-1936, and 1940-48, and Mr. E. L. Sears, 1936-1940.

In September of 1941, Mr. Owen Ammons came before the Board of Education and recommended that the 20 students in the Pierce Chapel district should be consolidated into the Hoboken School District. With a vote of the Board, this ended the existence of the Pierce Chapel School District and Pierce Chapel School."
