"Whereas. The recent invasion of this county by the U. States forces and their occupation of
a portion thereof, has deranged the ordinary course of public business, and renders impossible
that public and official matters should be transacted as the law directs. We, the undersigned
heirs and distributees of the Estate of the late Isaac Barber Deceased, in order that a distribution
of said estate may be effected, hereby authorise William Blitch Administrator on said estate, to see the
Land and negroes belonging to said estate at public outcry, at the usual place of holding Justices Court
in the 19th Dist. of this county, on the first Tuesday in March next, without the publication re-quired by law;
and to receive in payment therefore the common currency of the state.
