On the 1830 census of Bryan Co., Ga. we find Charles,
age 50-60 years. There is no female shown
with him of the age that would be a wife. Perhaps his wife is
deceased by now. This would have had
to happen between 1825 and 1830 since the youngest child is under
5 years. There is also is a son that
does not show up on any other census report. and his age is 10-15
in 1830. There are three girls whom
we do not have names for. One is age 5-10, and two are age 15-20.
A child shows up on the 1840 census
born 1832, so we can assume that Charles has remarried
between 1830 and 1832. His second wife was about
15-17 when they married according to the 1840 census.
