Mr. J. H. McCallum Remarkable Man

Jackson, July 15  -  Mr. J. H. McCallum, of the firm of McCallum, Carmichael & Co., merchants of Jackson, Ga., is a “kicker.’  He is six feet high and can kick seven and a half feet high.  Can stand flat-footed, with knees stiff, and put the palms of his hands on the ground.  With a sudden backward movement of the arms can strike his elbows together behind him.  He was married in his twenty first year, and his first grandchild was born before he was thirty seven.  He is not a “kicker’ in the common acceptation of the word.  He is the jovialest best natured, politest and happiest man, and the youngest grandfather in Georgia  -  Atlanta Journal.
