This indenture made this the twenty fourth day of April, eighteen hundred and
forty between James R. and John W. McCord of the one part and William R.
Bankston of the other part. Witnesseth that the said J. R. and J. W. McCord
for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars in hand paid the receipt
and hereforth is hereby acknowledges hath granted, bargained and sold to the
said W. R. Bankston and his heirs and assigns Lots Nos. three and four in
square twenty four in town of Jackson, Butts County and the said J. R. and J.
W. McCord will warrant and forever defend the right and title of said lot from
their selves and their hers and assigns forever in fee simple, unto the said
Bankston and his heirs forever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our
hands, seals this day and date above.
