This indenture made the 25th day of November in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and eighty six between Elisabeth A. Bankston of the
County of Butts County of the one part and Thomas McMichael of the county of
Butts of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Elisabeth A Bankston for and
in consideration of ten dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath
granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and confirmed and by these present does
grant bargain sell deliver convey and confirm unto the said Thos. H. McMichael
his heirs and assigns all that tract of land lying being in Butts County and
being on the East side of the road from Jackson to Covington supposed to be one
half acre more or less bounded on north by lands of Mrs. Deason. East by lands
of Thos. H. McMichael, south by land of Elisabeth Brocton(?) and west by
Covington road the said Covington road to be the west line between myself and
said McMichael. To have and to hold the said bargained premises with all and
singular the rights members and appurtenances thereto appertaining to the only
proper use benefits and behoof of him the said Thos. H. McMichael heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple and the said Elisabeth A.
Bankston the said bargained premises unto the said Thos. H. McMichael his heirs
executors administrators and assigns appraisal the said Elisabeth A. Bankston
his heirs executors and administration and against all and every other person
or persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by virtue of these
presents.
In witness whereof the said Elisabeth A. Bankston has hereto set her hand affix
in her seal and delivers these presents this day and year first above written
