Hall - Leonard
The marriage of Mr. Mansfield Phiny(?) Hall and Miss Mamie Leonard was indeed an elegant and beautiful one. The ceremony was solemnized at the elegant home of the bride's parents in Vienna, Ga., and was, to the minds of all that attended an ideal home wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard have a beautiful and magnificent home, and on this occasion it was rendered more beautiful by the exquisite decorations and pretty lights which indeed made the scene one of beauty.
The beautiful Episcopal ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Reese, Rector of Christ-s church at Macon.
Mrs. Hall, as Mss Leonard, was reared in Vienna, and by her charms and beautiful character has made for herself a host of friends.
As for Mr. Hall the people of Jackson know enough for us to say nothing. Suffice it to say that they are both elegant and very much admired and start out on life's voyage under the most favorable auspices.
The presents were indeed magnificent and too numerous to mention. Prominent among which was a handsome chest of silver from the bride's mother, a check for $10,000 from the father and a handsome set of china from the groom-s father.
The Argus extends congratulations and wishes for the happy couple a pleasant voyage over life's tempestuous sea and that when it is over they may land safely in the haven of eternal happiness and rest under the shade of the trees.
