Holloway - Spear
On Christmas eve about 10 o-clock at the home of the bride's father, Mr. John Holloway and Miss Mittie Spear appeared before Rev. J. C. Mays to be united in the bonds of matrimony. The marriage ceremony having been performed, the bride and groom accompanied by a host of friends, attended services at Enon church, after which they returned to a splendid feast where all ate, drank and were merry. The bride is one of Jasper-s fairest young ladies, happily endowed with those noble traits that constitute the true womanhood; while the groom is an energetic, business young man. The attendants were as follows: Mr. J. A. Spear with Miss Annie Smith; Mr. J. M. Barnett with Miss Susie Harden; Mr. Gus Goodman with Miss Carrie Phillips and Mr. Alonzo Goodman with Miss Leah Spear. May they live a long happy and useful life, unclouded with the shades of sorrow and misfortune?
