Man Found In A Well
There was a strange find made in Greenville one day last week. An apple vendor from Haralson County went to Mr. Will Gilbert´s well for a bucket of water. He let the bucket down, but when he began to draw it up found that a Negro had hold of it. The gentleman called for help, which he obtained at once, and Lewis Jones was drawn out almost frozen. He was drunk in the early part of the night and has no idea how he got into the well. He was only slightly bruised and is fast recovering from the long bath, and his plundge of about thirty feet.
