H L Johnson One Colored Lawyer

H. L. Johnson, colored, was formerly admitted to practice law in Butts Superior last week.  He informs us that he will likely locate to Macon for the practice of his chosen profession as but little business could be expected in this region for a colored man.

A Negro making a speech before a court and jury in Butts County would certainly be a novel sight to our people
