Bankston/Pelt Confederate Pensions
Mrs. Sarah Bankston and Mrs. Betsy Pelt, two of Judge Carmichael's widows at Jenkinsburg, was in town Saturday looking after their pensions for this year. All the widows are calling on the judge now, and he politely and courteously gives them all the information they need. We should have mentioned a week ago that the blanks were here and ready for signatures, but the good ladies know the time of year and come right along as they should.
