BROKE JAIL

Ira Taylor, col., who has been lying in jail for some time on the charges of stealing a small quantity of soap, broke through the walls of the jail on Tuesday and made his escape.  Mr. Crawford, the jailer allowed him the privilege of the room surrounding the cages and by the aid of a small piece of iron picked some brick out of the wall and walked away.  Sheriff Beauchamp quickly followed his tracks and found him hid in a gully in the rear of Mr. Cavert's.  he was brought back and now rest in a steel cage.
