Buried in Macedonia Cemetery During The Late War.
 

Some time ago we sprung the question of how many soldiers were interred in the
cemeteries in Butts County who died while they were actually engaged in
warfare. We are indebted to Mr. Walter Andrews for the following names, who
were laid to rest in Macedonia Cemetery, during the bloody times, between sixty
and sixty five:

Frank Mayo, James Cole, William Andrews, Alex Andrews, Charlie Giles, Elihu
Duke, George Maddox, Johnathan Carter, Jesse Holifield, Joseph Fuller and John
Powell.
