Catherine Lampkin
Catherine Lampkin, the little six year old daughter of Mr. W. W. Lampkin, died last night at 8 o-clock at the residence of her father at 427 Jackson street. The cause of the child-s death was scarlet fever. The interment occurred this morning at Oakland Cemetery. Little Catherine was a bright child, and her sad death is a severe blow to her devoted parents and friends.
The above is from the Atlanta Journal of the 18th inst. It is an announcement that carries sorrow to many hearts in Jackson. It was only a few weeks ago that Mr. and Mrs. Lampkin lost another child from the disease, and now comes the sad news that little Catherine is dead. Our people deeply sympathize with the bereaved parents in their great affliction.
