Cedar Rock News

Cedar Rock is on a boom.  There is a congregational Methodist church at this place and preaching every fourth Sunday in each month, and Saturday before by Rev. Mr. Hansford of Monroe county, and he is well thought of by the people generally.

We have Sunday school every Sunday in the year, with Mr. Jno. Gaston superintendent.  Cedar Rock sub-alliance meets here twice a month.

We have torn down our hut of a schoolhouse and built an academy that is second to no country schoolhouse in the county.  Our school will commerce the 17 of next month, with Prof. R. G. Dickerson from the Normal College at White Springs Fla. Teacher.
