Harrell - Wright

On Thursday evening last at the residence of Col. Y. A. Wright on Mulberry Street, Col. George Y. Harrell, or Lumpkin, Ga., was married to Miss Birdie E. Wright, sister of Col. Wright, Dr. W. A. Nelson, our beloved Baptist minister, officiating in his new and unique and impressive way.

We learn that Col. Harrell enjoys the confidence of his people and has bright prospects. Miss Birdie was the child of the old age of Mr. and Mrs. Y. F. Wright of Stewart county who have each fulfilled their allotted days and passed peacefully away. Being raised on the farm and largely managing the same for years she is accomplished in the highest degree to preside over a home. We congratulate Col. Harrell.
