Henry Barnes
There was an important case before Judge Carmichael last week. It was the case of W. D. Curry, administrator of Henry Barnes, citation for settlement. Several of the heirs of the estate caveated the settlement and after a patient hearing of the evidence, Judge Carmichael rendered a decision in favor of the administrator by allowing the settlement. It was an interesting case. Col. Y. A. Wright represented the administrator and Mills & Bailey the caveators. Hon. J. D. Kilpatrick of Monticello represented several of the heirs but he filed no caveat to the settlement.
