Human Skeleton Found
Last Friday while hunting on the farm of J. W. Moore near town Clifford Beauchamp came upon a ghastly sight in the shape of a human skeleton. The matter was reported immediately to Sheriff Crawford who went out and brought in the bones, many of them disconnected, and placed them in the courthouse where the coroner began an inquest.
The clothing found indicated that the ma had been well dressed, and eleven holes in the clothing indicated also that the man had been shot in bowels with buckshot.
The coroner empanelled a jury on Saturday and proceeded with the investigation, but facts were so meager that the investigation was postponed. In the meantime numerous theories as to the identify of the dead man have been advanced but none of them are yet satisfactory.
