MCNAIR MURDER TRIAL - IT IS OVER

The Great McNair murder trial is a thing of the past.  J. B. Willard, the last of the accused parties, was tried before Judge Boynton and a jury last Friday and acquitted and thus ended the most aggravated case that was ever in the courts of this county.  Four men have been tried and each one of them walks the earth as free men.

McNair was assaulted and the officers of the law did all in their power to find and convict the guilty ones but "failure" has been the result in every case and the county has lost about six thousand dollars in the trials.
