Mr. E. J. Williams - Telegram from Washington, D. C.
Mr. E. J. Williams, of Tifton, Ga., who was married to Miss Myrtle Pound, of this city, some months ago, has received a telegram from Washington, D. C., asking if he would accept a captaincy of immunes from Georgia to invade Cuba at once, and it is very probably that he will accept. It is considered quite an honor to be placed at the head of a company as its captain and the tender of such a position reflects great credit upon the ability and military standing enjoyed by Mr. E. J. Williams. Having visited Jackson on several occasions he has quite a hot of friends who offer him their hearty congratulations.
