AN OLD PAPER
A few days ago, while repairing his dwelling, Mr. W. L. Flynt found a receipted bill to Mr. Adel Sherwood for seven passengers, $21.00, and sundries $1750, on the steamer Cataract. The bill was dated November 5th, 1852, and was evidently given for passage from New York to Savannah or Charleston, but the starting point or place of destination is not named.
Rev. Mr. Sherwood, during the war owned and lived on the place named, and the paper had been carefully laid away for future reference.
