Pepperton - New Church

It is probable that a church will be built at the factory in a short time for the benefit of the factory operatives.

Mr. Etheridge informs us that the Mill Company will see that the house is built and many of the operatives profess a desire to contribute something towards the building.

We learn that the church will be undenominational and that it will be served by pastors of various denominations. The idea seems to be simply to afford the people an opportunity to worship God, and this is certainly a praiseworthy motive.

The Pepperton Cotton Mills Co. seems to have a conscience and a soul.   We congratulate it and its operatives who are religiously inclined on this new enterprise.
