HELD FOR MURDER SAM BLAND

Sam  Bland was arrested last Saturday and is now in Brunswick jail awaiting the result of wounds inflicted upon the person of Dan Nosworthy, on the night of the 18th ult.  Nosworthy is the man that was supposed to have been near O´Brien last week, by an engine on the East Tennessee road.  Later information says the wounds were inflicted by Bland, and not by the engine.  The engineer discovered him lying by the side of the road, and stopped his train and brought the wounded man to Jesup.   He is in a critical condition, and Bland is in jail awaiting the result.  Nosworthy, who first gave his names as Nos (and so published in our last issue), is a native of Butts County in this state.  Bland is a native of North Carolina.  We have been unable to ascertain the full particulars – Jesup Sentinnel.
