Tom King Escapes
Tom King, col., who was sentenced to 25 days on the streets by the Mayor last Saturday for disorderly conduct was shackled and put to work Monday last. He had not been at work very long before he escaped shackles and all. It was a brand new $6 chain that the officer put on him and the loss of this is regretted more than the escape of the negro. Tom is a bad negro, he is of a bad family and takes pride in the name of -Bully-.
