THE WORK COMMENCED

The Graded of the Jackson & Indian Spring Dummy Line Will be Pushed to Completion

On yesterday, Mr. B. F. Watkins broke the dirt on the grade of the Jackson & Indian Springs dummy line.  About twenty hands are at work today and by night one mile will be ready for the crossties.  Mr. Joe Watkins will put on several teams and a number of hands tomorrow and the entire north of Windins' mill will be graded by Saturday night.  Only about one mile will remain to reach the Wigwam.

A sawmill is being put down at Watkins Mill where the crossties and other needed timbers will be gotten out there as we move.

It is designed to complete the road in time for the summer travel.  We trust that when the Wigwam is open that the shrill of the whistle of the dummy engine will reverberate among the hills that McIntosh and his warriors and braves lived so well

Atlas, a new enterprise!
