Bridges That Were Destroyed by Rain
The recent rains have caused great damage to farmlands and bridges in Butts county. The creeks and rivers have been swollen greatly and so far as we can learn the bridges washed away in the county are as follows:
McCord-s mill bridge
Hodge-s mill bridge
Barnett-s mill bridge
Eddleman-s mill bridge
Weaver-s mill bridge
Henley-s mill bridge
In addition numbers of other bridges have been shaken up and badly damaged.
The streams are said to have been higher than they have been known since -96. In many places lands are badly washed and grain crops on the bottom lands have been flooded.
