Clemmie T. Adams, 79, of Mount Vernon Road, Indian Springs, died Thursday at Georgia Baptist Hospital.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church in Indian Springs with the Rev. Dante Smith officiating. Burial was in the Jackson cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a native of Eastman, son of Clemmie T. Adams Sr. and Sarah Adams. He moved to Butts County in 1935 and was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Board.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Bell Adams; seven daughters, Mattie Pearl Adams, Katie Mae Walker, Rosa Render, Carrie Cash, and Sarah Walker, all of Indian Springs, Evelyn Sims of Jackson, and Daisy Durham of Griffin; six sons, Willie Lee Adams, John Wesley Adams, Moses T. Adams, all of Indian Springs, Chester Lee Adams and Clemmie Lee Adams, both of Jackson, and Rufus Lee Adams of Griffin; 44 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Mattie Hart and Willie Cochran, both of Eastman, and Majetta Goodrum of Pompano Beach, Fla.; brothers, Moses Adams and Charlie Adams, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Katie G. Davis of Indian Springs and Sarah Greene of Tifton; many nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Adams Memorial Mortuary in Jackson was in charge of arrangements.
