Heart Attack On Saturday Claims Mr. J. B. Adams
Mr. John Benjamin Adams, 58, of Forsyth, prominent businessman and civic leader, died unexpectedly late Saturday afternoon in his office of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Adams, a native of Monroe County, operated Adams-Briscoe Farm Supply Company in Forsyth. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Farm Bureau and a deacon of Sharon Church .
Funeral services for Mr. Adams were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from Sharon Primitive Baptist Church with. Elder P. O. Revells Sr. officiating. Interment was in the Forsyth City Cemetery with Andrew A. Dillon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emmie Daniel Adams of Forsyth; three sons, Danny, Jimmy and Rufus Adams, all of Forsyth; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur C. Glasglou of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. W. F. Vassar of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, Ernest and Paul Adams, both of Macon and Rufus Adams of Jackson.
