Adams Rites Held Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. G. P. (Mary Lillie) Adams, of Covington, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Don Folsom, pastor of the First Baptist Chuch of Jackson, Rev. F. M. Davis, pastor of the Carmel Baptist Church at Mansfield, officiating. J. C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Adams died Tuesday in a private hospital, following a short illness and hospitalization of only a few hours.
She was a native of Newton County and a member of the Carmel Baptist Church. She resided in Jackson for a number of years with her son, Mr. W. Clint Adams and Mrs. Adams.
Survivors include a son W. Clint Adams of Covington, a grandchild, Mrs. Randall Macon and a great grandchild, Brian Macon of Knoxville, Tenn.
Serving as pallbearers were Paul Adams, Herman Adams, Lee Hays, James Hardman and John Burson.
