Mr. Dennis Wood Agee, 84 died late Thursday night at the Hill Top Nursing Home in Monroe County following an extended illness.
Mr. Agee, a retired shoe manufacturer, was born November 25th, 1885 in Buckingham City. Va. He was the son of Mr. Robert Agee and Mrs. Nannie Maxie Agee. His wife was the late Mrs. Bessie Ryer Agee of Virginia. Mr. Agee had lived in Butts County several years, making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Pearl Remington, on the Atlanta Highway.
The body of Mr. Agee was flown to Richmond, Va., Friday where funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon October 10th, at the Sutherland Brown Chapel. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery in Richmond. Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Agee is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Remington of Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Self, Mrs. Mary Williamson and Mrs. Telma Vial, all of Richmond, Va., a brother, Roy Agee. also of Richmond, Va.; a grandson, Dennis Remington of Jackson.
Pallbearers, all nephews and great nephews, were Hunter Self, Wilson Spain, Henry Agee, Albert Agee, Robert Spain, Ricky Colly.
