Last Rites Held Thursday For Ed Aiken
Funeral services for Ed Aiken of Covington, were held Thursday, December 23rd, at 2 p.m. from the Red Oak United Methodist Church. Rev. Frank Norris and Rev. Worthy Lunsford officiated and interment was in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Mary Smith, of Butts County, a brother, . Paul Aiken, of Covington, and several nieces and nephews.
Miss Ethel Smith, Mrs. Wright Watkins, Sr. and Mrs. O. A. Andrews, of Butts County, are sisters-in-law of Mr. Aiken.
The popular Newton County farmer died Tuesday following a rather sudden illness.
