Mr. William Alexander Aiken
Mr. W. A. Aiken Died Suddenly Thursday A.M. Stricken suddenly with what is supposed to have been heart trouble, Mr. William Alexander Aiken, 66 years of age, died at his home on Lyons street about 1 o'clock Thursday morning.
When he retired Wednesday night Mr. Aiken complained of not feeling well. During the night his wife was awakened by his struggles and medical aid was at once summoned. He expired in a short time. Previous to Wednesday night Mr. Aiken was in his accustom health and was at his place of business all of the week.
His death came as a shock in the family and a wide circle of friends. He was well and favorably known over the county and was held in high esteem. He was born and reared in Butts county and had been a resident of Jackson for the past several months, the family having apartments with Mrs. F. L. Walthall on Lyons street. Mr. Aiken had been in charge of Mr. S. B. Kinard's grist mill for some time.
Mr. Aiken was twice married. His first wife was a Miss Washington and died several years ago. His second wife was a Miss Hammond by whom he is survived. He also has three children, Mrs. V. C. Ellington and Mr. A. C. Aiken, of Butts county, and Mr. D. H. Aiken, of Atlanta.
The funeral arraignments have not been completed, but the funeral will be held at Worthville Friday morning at 11 o'clock.

Funeral Of Mr. Aiken Held At Worthville.
Funeral services for Mr. W. A. Aiken, whose death occurred suddenly at his home at Jackson early Thursday morning, were held at Worthville Baptist church Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Pate, the pastor, conducted the services in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. Mr. Aiken had been a member of the Worthville church for about thirty years and was well liked and highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends over the county.
The body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Worthville cemetery.
