Mr. Thomas A. Akins
Father of Mrs. Wade is Dead
Mr. Thomas A. Akins, 66, of Route 1, Smyrna, father of Mrs. M. E. Wade of Jackson, died Tuesday in a private hospital.
A native of Paulding County, Mr. Akins moved from Bolton to the Atlanta area 10 years ago. He was a retired livestock dealer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from th e Bolton Baptist Church. The Rev. Paul Carter and Rev, Royce Bagley will officiate. Burial will be in the Barber cemetery near Mableton.
Survivors include his wife, the former Ada Eidson; five daughters, Mrs. J. A. Etheridge and Mrs. O. J. Holcomb, both of Mableton; Mrs. M. E. Wade Sr., Jackson; Mrs. J. R. Moreland, Atlanta, and Mrs. W. F. Edmonds, Rome; two sons, D. L. Akins, Los Angeles, Calif. and J. T. Akins, Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. L. L. Turner and Mrs. Kibbie Butler, both of Atlanta.
