Mrs. Alexander Passes In Griffin
Mrs. Lucy Hay Alexander of 484 Hammond Drive, Griffin, died, Sunday morning, September 14th, at Griffin-Spalding County Hospital.
Mrs. Alexander, widow of Mr. George Alexander of Griffin, was born in Butts County and had lived in Griffin for 42 years. She was a member of the Hammond Drive Baptist Church and served as organist of the church. She was a retired employee of a Griffin bakery.
Funeral was conducted Monday afternoon at three o'clock from McDonald Chapel with the Rev. Brady Blalock, the Rev. M. L. Arnold, and the Rev. W. M. Coe officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by a daughter, Miss Janice Alexander of Griffin; two sisters, Miss Agnes Hay and Miss Vivian Hay, both of Flovilla; one brother, B. R. (Tony) Hay of Jenkinsburg; several nieces and nephews.
